
Rick is currently an associate computer science lecturer at University of Central Florida.
			He teaches Senior Design, the two-semester capstone course in which students, in
			groups of 5, work on a single project. Senior Design provides real-world experience
			for students, especially those that are sponsored by organization such as Lockheed-Martin,
			Northrup Grumman, Siemans, Nasa, General Dynamics, Coca-Cola, and many more. Rick also sponsors
			the KnightHacks club which holds a yearly hackathon.
          
 
          
            
IntraCorp/Capstone was a Miami, Florida-based game publisher,
            founded in 1984. The company developed and published games across a
            variety of genres. Some of their titles include Grandmaster Chess,
            Bridgemaster, Corridor 7, Terminator Chess, Trump Castle versions 1,
            2, and 3, The Cardinal of the Kremlin, Miami Vice, Search for the
            Titanic, and The Dark Half. Rick was the
            
director of techology.
          
 
          
            
MCI was a leading
            telecommunications company. Rick was
            
senior software engineer at MCI's digital imaging division.
            In this capacity he was dev lead for innovations in image processing
            and new image formats. MCI DI served many large corporate interests
            such as The Washington Post and many Universities in the Southeast.
          
 
         
        
        
          
            
Landmark Communications (now Landmark Media) was a giant in
            publications and media. Rick held the position as
            
senior software engineer during his tenure. His duties
            included internet filtering systems for cities, school systems, and
            libraries; portraiture system for orgamization directories; and
            imaging research.
          
 
          
            
Direct Dispensing allowed physicians to dispense a limited
            formulary from their office. This provided a convenience for
            patients, and an additional profit center for the physicians. At
            night the offices were contactived electronically querying
            inventory, and creating new orders. Rick was the
            
chief architect for the system.
          
 
          
            
QuoCast was a company
            that developed collaboration software for the medical industry.
            Physicians and consulting personel could use the online tool to
            study cases and add their comments. This included graphical and text
            annotations. Rick was the 
Chief Techncal Officer of QuoCast.

Live Cargo
            developed solutions for large email attachments and storage, and
            stream for all devices including normal phones such as flip phones.
            The technology was groundbreaking and won awards. As a result of its
            success, the company was sold. Rick was
            
director of technology of Live Cargo.
          
 
          
            
Bellomy is a
            full-service market intelligence firm. They partner with healthcare,
            retail, financial, energy, and consumer product companies to
            identify insights and strategic business implications derived from
            those insights. While at Bellomy Rick was

The Volvo Group is a
            Swedish multinational manufacturing corporation headquartered in
            Gothenburg. While its core activity is the production, distribution
            and sale of trucks, buses and construction equipment, Volvo also
            supplies marine and industrial drive systems and financial services.

For a number of years Rick was a contract programmer. During this
            time he created games such as Expert Chess, Chess Kids, and a series
            of card games for the Bicycle card company. In addition to the
            software Rick wrote several books such as the Visual Studio Bible.
            Best of all was volleyball at the Y during lunch time.
