It’s another day in paradise.
Well, the Fall semester has started. We are through five weeks. I have a record setting (at least for me) class of 428. The sheer numbers makes it somewhat difficult to manage. But I have noticed over the last five years that my senior design 1 stunts are better than before.
UCF is a very positive environment. The associate department head and the department head are top notch. I get along with the fabulously and they support my efforts. The dean is great even though I don’t see him or talk to him that often.
Most of my students are fabulous as well. I really enjoy the energy I get from 21/23 year olds. A few are jus there for the diploma, but I ty to avoid them. The job market is thinning out but I try to give useful insight so that they have a good chance of getting a job.
UCF beat UNC this weekend. A lot of my friends are Tarheels, so this makes me smile. I did not rub it in on Facebook. I am not sure UCF will win any more games this year, though,
